Hey Tiffani, Thanks so much for joining.

I am usually known for doing things somewhat different than most marketers, and nearly everyone I do business with loves me for it.

I rarely send out emails that contain links unless they come up in conversation (of course email marketing via safelists and solo ads don't count). I am also very well known for not allowing any links in groups I run, forums, I moderate and the likes.

The truth is, if anyone is looking for a new business to invest in, they can open up any email from their inbox, facebook account, linkedin, or virtually anywhere else.

I find by not allowing ANY links, I weed out anyone not interested in helping others. I can explain to you all day about safelist marketing without recommending a safelist, the same is true of text ad exchanges, solo advertising, banner marketing, traffic exchanges, link building, article marketing, or any other marketing based topic.

Information without links, means the person writing it didn't have some deep desire to promote something.

And sadly I say ALL links because I have seen what bloggers like to do forums (no offense to the honest ones). But its annoying when every single post is someone linking to an article they wrote and published somewhere else.

I have always had the take that if the information was really worthy of being shared, then share the information.... not the link. :)

Gotcha...I actually love the premise. I am always interested in good information...and less interested in links only type groups.

and the penny dropped here too..
And I totally agree with the NO LINKS in forums and group discussions that are meant for sharing of information to help others from the members own knowledge base and not placing links. Here at apsense I also am an invited moderator to a couple of groups and whats amazing to see is once you start weeding out the link spammers vs value added content there is a huge drop in new postings.
