Worth Reading?

What does that stand for?

OK , I Joined APSense. Now what do I do?
Now I will be the first to admit that everyday I learn
somthing in this business.
Less than a year ago I did not know that you could
copy and paste with a mouse.
So I think that I have come a long way in learning
a thing or 2 about internet marketing and all that
goes with it.

Karen Weir was helping me this morning make a new
free page for our group.
Now I have been working with html and making free
pages for awhile. It still is magical to me
how things appear.

Karen is the best at making beautiful free-pages.
She was explaining to me the difference in how Edit Plus
works, Desk View, how she hate my favorite Outlook Express.
We got on the subjest of WYSIWYG.
Now I always just said "WHIRLYJIG" when I saw that.

When she told me what it stood for I must say I felt like a
real Dummy. So obvious!!

Do you know what it stands for?
Just like the saying that I use on Skype and in my signature
lines..... HHCTB?

Do you have some others that you would like to share?

Cindy

Thanks Cindy. I am glad I asked about trying the UBB code. Actually, I sent my self an email so I need to go see if it worked. And like you said, I can edit it or whatever. Will let you know if I need more help, but I really appreciate you offering to help me. I really like this group. It gives me a great chuckle. So thanks a lot.

Margie,
you can't try it out in this group because it will not display do you see what it says at the bottom
(To Avoid Ads, UBBCODE is NOT allowed in comments)
you may try it in a blog
or in a bulletin.
you can always edit it. or even delete it .
If you would like me to look at it I will be happy to test it for you.
you may skype it to me my skype ID is Abeque
or email it
cbolley@gmail.com

But take the step off the deep end and try it.
edit and delete are easy to push.

Thanks so much Cindy for the lesson in UBB codes. I have been trying to figure that out and you explained it very well. Would it be all right to try it out in this group to see if I can make it work??? Thanks again for the explanation.

I mentioned this in one of the very first posts I did for this group
I am hoping that more people will read it this time, and put it into practice.

Now I am no genius by anyones standards but one thing really bothers me. I would not have know how to do this little trick but once I was shown by my friend Karen it was as like trying my shoe.
Easy once you know how.

It has to do with UBB codes.
I guess you could compare this to hyperlinks.

I see many many posts in this wonderful place called APSense that people put the url for whatever they are talking about and want you to check it out.

Now I am sort of the lazy type, if I can just click on it , the chance of me actually checking it out are pretty good but....
if I have to:
STOP
COPY
OPEN A NEW WINDOW
PASTE
And then see what they wanted me to see I just might not take the time to do it.

But... if I can simply click on it , The probability of me clicking just went up considerably.

So here is the lesson again:

In this place called ASPense and usually in forums too you cannot just put in a hyperlink as usual but you use UBB codes.
They both do the same thing but you input the link differently.

This is what I see so many people doing:
http://www.retiretodayonline.com/videoe-cardCB.html

But then I have to copy and paste and put in a new window to view.
People are in a hurry and most don't want be bothered.

But if you put it like this :

Xooma

It will only show Xooma and when people click on it they are taken to where I want them to go
No Copy/Paste/or new window has to be opened to display

Your chance has greatly increased that people would actually click
