This could be a true statement when you think about all the companies who get a lot of clientele because of their excellent customer service, for their incentive plans, and for the rewards that they give the people whom they serve.Not every business person would agree that people should come before profit but, when it comes to keeping clients and spreading a good word-to-mouth reputation, this is not an alternative, but a requirement.On the whole, small businesses and local businesses usually abide by this statement, because most of them know that unless the business is particularly innovative or original it is likely that a bigger company has more resources for advertisement, cost effectiveness, etc. to take customers from the small or local business. If bigger companies can reduce prices for similar goods, the only thing the small companies are competing on is the customer service level. Additionally, it would seem that if "people come before profit," then the profit will follow.
