Websites take a lot of time away from marketing? or not!

The reason I wrote that question about websites taking time away from marketing is because I am an affiliate marketer and my website is there! As in "Just There!" Although it gets a visit from time to time, I've not updated it in awhile. I get too busy networking and the other aspects of promoting several (not to be mentioned!) affiliates! (smile)
I do know I spent a lot of time learning basic HTML just so I could get it up and running because at the time, the computer I had ... the browser didn't support the easy way or wysiwyg? type of tools.... I was able to work with the basic layont given me (or selected by me) from the website and I had to upload only 10 images that I can use elsewhere on the internet when I need to post a banner image etc... which is nice!
Learning how to get a website up and running is time consumming and it can detract from other methods of marketing. But it doesn't have to!
It is a wise investment to get a professionally rendered logo or images for your website as well as seeking the help of web designers to get the best website you can afford!
As much as I love to build my own website there are definite drawbacks!
But I do think I should do more with it! Here's the url if anyone has any suggestions. myweb.ecomplanet.com/beth5373
What is important is that you begin to create a web presence online With or without your own website!
thanks for reading
it doesn't get any better than this!
