      Ocimum sanctum is commonly called as "Tulsi". It is the plant worshipped in India as God due to its medicinal power. See our ancestors are so intelligent so we can get the good properties from the plant while doing worship. 
Medicinal effects: Daily intake of one or two leaves is good for health. It will take care of our digestion and also helps in improving our bowel movements.For cough by taking leaves as raw or by getting extract from the leaves acts better.In ringworm infection and in other skin diseases, externally applying the leaves made as paste is a wonderful remedy. Other than these uses, it is a good mosquito repellent.
