While it would be nice, you don't need to know who your sponsor is to build a Team. You can be the leader and build your own team. A simple method for starting is to use Trackers and Rotators and start an advertising co-op.
Your team members should also be willing to communicate on a regular basis. You can "meet" at the company webinars or set up your own times but meet at least once a week.
