I?ve read close to 20 fantasy series. A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin is by far the
best one I?ve ever read.
It?sdefinitely for adults. LOTR is for young children compared to it.
The beauty of it is that the sex and gore are essential to get all the
nuances of the character development.
What is the strongest point of ASOIAF is the story is driven 95 % by
character decisions.
The only con is that we have to wait years between each volume. :(
