Getting In The Write Mood

Warm Salutations fellow word wranglers. Writing is not a super power I have learned to control yet. In fact for years I put writing to sleep. Well I was kinda asleep too. I use to write because I had to. I had a profound desire to make lyrical and rich everything I was feeling. I also have a couple of disABILITIES so I have had some interesting material to draw from. I've had some unusual experiences. To survive for many years, I read and wrote. In 2004 life began to throw a few punches and I ducked and stopped writing. Now that old desire is returning and writing is important as a passion, craft and part of how I see myself. I have waited years to finish a poem so I could find the perfect word. Now I am going back to basics, getting old connections to flow, using music, guided meditation and affirmations to clarify the foggy. If anyone has a ritual that works for them or want to exchange feedback on your passion and how you nurture creativity. I would love to hear from you.cultivate kindness and imagination and realize utopia.Linda -- A starving artist
