Geographic Ad Targeting For Apsense Campaigns?

Please take note : I'm not the author of this post. Laura Newton wrote it as a blog. I thought it made perfect sense to put it here. You can see Laura's original blog with all the comments here

I have a recommendation I'd like to present to the powers that be on Apsense.

I'm
Not sure if its something that would be able to be accomplished, but
one of the problems I've noticed with Apsense is, we get alot of useless
(untargeted) traffic from our campaigns resulting in wasted credits
from other countries. (outside the US & Canada).

Many member(s) programs are only availble to US and Canadian Residents.

I
would like to see us be able to target specific geographic locations.
This would guarantee that our campaign adds are seen by who we want and
not have all our credits wasted by the spammers who use it simply to
gather credits.

UPDATED: In response to the post by Paula concerning not being able
to view sites and earn credits since she does not live in the USA.
(which I hadnt considered)

One of the options could be "no targeting". meaning that you do not
have to choose specific area's. I'm thinking that many folks will want
to target everyone, so You would still have pleanty of adds to view to
acquire your credits.

The folks that choose "targeted" areas could be charged extra credits to use this feature.

What are your thoughts on this?

Wow, you react fast. Great ! I'm really happy you did that.

My goal of posting your idea here was to give it even more exposition.

And help get the group off the ground at the same time. :)

Don't worry about being new. I joined the group 2 days ago. I discovered it when I saw it on Andre Kalis profile. I loved the group's name, it ignited some fire in me.

I don't know why you moved this conversation, everybody was contributing to the blog post.

oh Dawie. I am so sorry. You must have been posting as I was closing the comments. I am so so sorry buddy. It wasnt intentional, I assure you. Can you try to repost it here. I know how frustrating that is when you have written a great response or post and your puter freezes or shuts down or some unforseen thing happens. So upsetting.

I have lost track, blog posts get much more exposure than group discussions, i think it would be a good idea to open up the comments there again.

I don't agree with you, Dawie. Blogs might get good exposure when they're active, but most of them get forgotten quickly. In groups, new members who come can see it and comment.
