"Social Networking" is becoming a term which is way over used. As a matter of fact, we have been social networking our entire lives. It's just now we do it via the Internet. Perhaps it is exciting we can reach so many different people in so many different areas of the world. Whatever it is, it is here to stay and it is one of the BEST Marketing Tools you have at your fingertips.
I don't ever want to hear anyone say they don't have anyone to talk to about their business. Facebook alone has over 500 Millions users. So, go meet and greet. Start making connections and get your face and name out there. If you aren't using the large variety of social networks to promote YOURSELF, then you are missing a golden opportunity.

EntreprenuerThe easiest way so you know you won't offend anyone is to join some Networking groups. There are a bunch of them on Facebook. Then start sending friend invitations to those people. You can, also, then post your links in that group area if it is allowed by the administrator. It really depends on what you are marketing. I have great success getting numbers because my primary business is free to join. But, I am now realizing this is not the way to go. I need to develop a more personal relationship with my referrals so they will understand the system and become active. My primary business is so easy but it will take time to develop in to a money maker. If people don't understand this from the beginning, they tend to drop out. Another great place is posting in forums. Just try to add value to the conversation. Many forums allow the signature you spoke of in your original post. How do you meet new people on FaceBook? And How do you market to them? Do you have a specific way you do this? I am curious. I have a friend who told me how she does it, but I don't think I'm that bold.
