I just wanted to take a moment to welcome all new APSense members.
I have been to many Social Networking and sites and this to me is the
very best by far... Way above all the rest IMHO anyway.
I want to give a bit of advise to all new members as well to some that have been here awhile. This is in response to a question that is get asked a lot in a private PM.
The question is... "What is the MOST IMPORTANT thing I can do and the FIRST thing that I should do at APSense?
The answer is the same to..
~Most important
~First thing
SET UP YOUR PROFILE!!!!!!!!
Setting up your profile page lets people know who you are.
You don't have to write a novel. Just put a bit of info on it. Your profile is not engraved in stone. I have tweeked mine several times. I have added and I have also deleted.
What I hate to see on a profile page is BLATANT ADVERTISING!!!!
I want to know about you!!
After all it is YOUR profile.
APSense offers many places to advertise there really is no need for you to post all that crap on your profile page. Now I am not talking about posting your links of what you do I am talking about SCREAMING at me to join you. Most of it being nothing more than a copy and paste from another website... I am sure you know what I mean.
I have posted this next bit of info ofter over the years but this looks like a perfect spot again. Social networking site are for socializing, for meeting new people, making friends and looking for new business partners. I am not sure why that very simple concept is so hard for so many to understand.
Pretend your a social butterfly and your at a cocktail party. You flitter here and you flitter there. You go from one post to the next, along the way you are topping this and commenting on that. Your meeting new people and your making friends...
your SOCIALIZING. Your would never dream of dancing on the table at a cocktail party.
Dancing on the table at a cocktail party is BLATANT ADVERTISING!!!!
And that is something that you just DON"T do at APSense or at any other SOCIAL networking site, and NEVER at a cocktail party... ever.
I hope everyone enjoys their time here at this great place called APSense.
I know that I do. I am just trying to help you get the most out of it.

 Old Retired GuyWell I guess I'm rebellious, but I think if you once realize that you can advertise if you do it right, your argument goes out the window. The top leaders say you should learn what everyone else is doing, then do the opposite, right? HHCTB?I thought the same thing when Warren popped it up earlier today.... only difference is we no longer have signature lines that I wanted everyone to make clickable. Internet MarketerI am just noticing that the signature line is no longer there. APSense has also changed since this article was written. We only had human beings as members then. Companies and organizations are now members. We have now become more impersonal in this forum. Write the best article you can muster your intellect to put down and you get no comment from readers. HHCTB?Nnamdi.... Many have come and gone... And SPAM is rampant.... I choose to ignore it and just keep doing what I have always done. Always remember that your articles are seen by many more people that just the folks here at APSense... I posted an article about that topic many years ago too.. and it is as true today as it was then. @Warren at times it seems like finding a needle in a haystack but those needles have a shine to them that your not able to miss seeing at times. Internet Marketer@Warren I feel happy when I find some of those members of years ago in APSense. This gives my spirit a lift. @Cindy Let's keep doing what we know is good for us. Internet MarketerI am still laughing at the comments I made on this article when it was first written way back in 2010. My comments are still relevant even today. Many who made comments on the article are no longer coming to APSense and many more have joined. I hope all will have the time to read and comment on this article. What I have noticed over time is that we have stopped reading and commenting on articles in this forum. I think this is the proper and appropriate time to bring back that culture. Commenting on an article is an encouragement on the writer to write more and better. Well, that's what I feel when I receive comments to the articles I wrote. Cindy, you are always an inspiration. Even when I do not speak with you (do we speak on forums?), I am always glad to know that you are still very much on APSense, where the internet makes sense. HHCTB?Nnamdi..... We both have only grown in our marketing... It is so hard to find articles to comment on these day.... There is so much SPAM.. but I am trying to over look it. and simply move one.....Gosh that is so hard to do at times.......Your comment 6 years ago is indeed just as relevant today as they were back then.....
