Establishing trust is a major challenge in itself. When meeting someone for the first time, it's never wise to start discussing the opportunity when you haven't established a connection.

I always make it a point to turn the conversation to them. I want to show a genuine interest in who they are and what they are about. Interests, hobbies, family, etc. When we show a keen interest in them, they become more willing to open up to us. That's how my mind works.

Great mind thought! It is difficult to see genuine honesty when communicating online. I never start conversing about any opportunity until asked.

When someone approaches me with a link or message to take a look at their products or services and I don't know them, I automatically realize they're either new to marketing online or they are desperate to make things happen for themselves. At that point, I offer to provide them with much needed advice.
