How Can You Earn an Income On the Internet

I Feel Like I Am Being Swallowed Up By The Twitter "Whale"

Did you get swallowed up by the Twitter "whale"?

Is it pure coincidence that a huge whale shows up on Twitter whenever
it is overcapacity?

Overcapacity in this case as all tweeters know
means that too many tweets are being sent at the same time at least for
the most part.

I mentioned the whale because I have been observing Twitter for a
while and noticed that if you have over a few hundred followers  no new
post stays more that about half a minute on the first page.

New posts are pushed off the first page of Twitter in less than a
minute. So the question is: Are people really reading each other
posts on Twitter or are we all being swallowed up by the "big whale"?

I remember distinctly when I first started using Twitter I would get
many  hits to any link I posted with a tweet. Now if I get one or two
hits to any link in a tweet I feel very fortunate and I have over two
thousand followers.

One have to wonder if this is because of what is being posted or is
it because ever before you press the "tweet" button your tweet gets
pushed off the first page and into oblivion.

I have asked the question before: If everyone is talking then who exactly is
listening?

Like many people who love Twitter I am still learning how to
maximize it as a business tool.

I know that it is said that many companies big and small have used
and are still using Twitter effectively to market their products and
services.

What I would be interested to know is whether Twitter is presently
being inundated by the millions of users and the incessant tweets
therefore undermining its initial usefulness.

I would appreciate any comment from ardent Twitter watchers and
users.

Great Post Lylette!

I have asked myself the same question about twitter and will share more on this more in a post but to answer your question, When posting on Twitter people who are using keywords are viewing the tweet.

For example: If my niche market is recipes than ever time I post I should key in the word recipes so that people interested in recipes will click on the link. If I don't put in the keyword recipe than those interested won't be able to view it.

This is only my opinion but I have looked into this and I believe this is how people are seeing your tweets.

Go to twitter and key in a word into the search box and you will see what I am talking about.
