Upper Respitory Trouble

I share my home with many cats and 5 dogs. All were unwanted and unloved till they came here. I am hoping someone will be able to help me with a problem I have with one of my older cats.

I have had to her to several vets but they all say the same thing. Try this.. try that..
nothing seems to work.  I have several cat friends and they too seem to have at least one cat that has the same trouble as my Miss Ellie.

First off she is about 12 years old. She spends he time trying to breath. She has lost alot of weight. But she eats well. She is just the sweetest thing. Her breathing is very labored. Like she has constricted airways.

Since I have been through all the vets stuff, like several different kinds of antibiotic I was even sent to my own pharmacy for an antibiotic.  Pehaps someone has another suggestion I could try. All suggestions would be appreciated.

She sounds like a freight train... if that exlains her symtoms any better

Sounds like an infection. Not sure this helps, but when my cat was coughing, I used to put some honey on his paw and he licked it and got rid of the cough. Perhaps you have to try this several times.. Hope it helps..

Thanks Marja. I wrote that a long time ago. That kitty has died. This past year I got in 6 sick kittens. They all had herpes. All of them almost died.
Miss Ellie sounded like those kittens but she was not nearly as sick as the little darlings.

Thanks for your help. I am certain you are an animal lover just like me!
