1. Automation that helps you post consistantly.
2. Understand the funnel system for creating consistant income.
3. Traffic for your blog.
The 3rd is understandable because driving traffic to business websites by networking, using email safelists and classified ads are things many of us have done when first promoting an online business.

thanks for clearing that up... wht is advanced and what is basic? Excellent point... Software for posting on all your blogs! maybe they haveit and we don't know? i don't know about the server part... someone replied to a post here of mine that was "What do I need to know to Blog?" and that's a summary of what they wrote with my search info added.. thanks for your post! Aren't all the automation tools that you mentioned for people who are running it off their own server? That's not really "basic". That's advanced.
I think "basic" means "entry level. An example of a "basic" program to me is something I can download and run from my own computer that will post to any one of my 5 blogs (Xanga.com, Blogspot.com and MySpace). If I could manage my blogs more easily, I could create more blogs to a more focused target markets. Just as there are e-mail programs like Chaos Intellect that let you manage more than one e-mail account with one program, what if there was a blog manager that let you manage your blogs. That would be cool. That would be "basic".
