I've been frustrated with the shopping cart program I've been using for the last two years - Oscommerce.  While I do love the program, it's so hard to keep up with the frequent updates to the script add-ons I have (over 20).  I'm so worried I'm going to "break" my store if I do an update wrong, or if an update is not compatible with another add-on's script.  ARGH!

So, I'm taking the next month to re-vamp my site/store with a new shopping cart. It won't be fancy, but it will open the doors for me to add third-party scripts for newsletters and whatever else - high quality ones.

This will be good, because my site will be updated and more SEO friendly in time for the next Google update (the last one just happened this past weekend) ... and in time for the holiday season.

So .... are you doing any major overhauls before the holiday season?
If so ... what are they?

Any tips or advice you have to share from experience or research?
