Voice of a Well-Scarred Marketer

No more phones!

Hi all. Just yesterday I had replied to a discussion concerning 'talking to people'. Briefly the article stated how important it is to actually come into contact w/people in order to market anything. This is true but NOT necessary. Thanks to a major problem with the phone companies in our area, we are dropping our land line phone altogether. This meant removing ALL phone #'s in my contact area in ALL of my sites. In addition, changes to HOW I do things is in order. We will have a cell phone and 'buy' minutes to be used ONLY as needed. So my marketing will NO LONGER include the use of the phone. The ONLY way people can contact me is via email or through my various guestbooks and websites like this one. So for me I will NO LONGER do the following:

1. Conference calling

2. 'Skype' messaging or anything like that

3. Make or receive phone calls of ANY sort

4. I do NOT use ANY type of 'email list' because all that end up in as SPAM complaints

I believe these social networking sites ARE the wave of the future and if one uses a site such as this one CORRECTLY then there is NO NEED for any of the above. A person can build a very substantial network of friends and potential downline members simply by communicating EVERY DAY through this type of network. I am sure there are those of you who will disagree, but I strongly feel that a LOT can be done without face to face contact or even voice contact. That is all. Have a GREAT DAY everyone!
