Points for Products?

Hello everyone,
Many of you probably know that I run an affiliate site at 2getsales.com. I primarily focus my products on scripts, software, instructional manuals and themes \ templates for website owners. I also offer a minimum of 50% commission for each and every sale made (depending on your membership level) along with that I was offering a 5 or 10 % commission on every sales made by anyone that you referred to the site. Now this membership has been free to join since it started with the hope that the members would promote the products with nothing more than the commissions as an incentive.

Well, apparently the commissions alone have not been enough of an incentive. I guess folks just don't value anything that is free. So, as a result of this, I will begin charging for inclusion in the membership starting Feb 1, 2008. The monthly fee will be $27.00 and with that each member will have a certain number of points added to their account for every month they remain in good standing.

What good are POINTS?? you may ask, these points can be used to purchase products that I have on the site as well as the ability to trade them with other members for services that you may receive from them. Many of the members have their own websites, blogs and even affiliate or membership programs. So, you may be able to do some trading and get into a membership site that you otherwise would not be able to afford, or get some graphics designed for your site without having to pay them cash.

Why would I want to purchase the products? The products that I promote are guaranteed for a minimum of 56 days (Per Clickbank T.O.S.) and most, if not all of them I currently use. The scripts I no longer use have just been replaced with a higher priced product or one that has more features. I only promote quality products that I personally use. This way, I am able to help support the client better since I KNOW what it is supposed to do and how it needs to be configured.

Ok, you say, well how would I know how to contact one of the other members to discuss a trade for my points? 2GetSales has a forum setup just for the members of my various sites. There is a new board in there that is just for discussions on trading points and even selling them to other members. This forum is a Member's Only forum, so you can feel better about discussing joint venture opportunities with other members through Private messages or in the forum itself.

For those who don't know, Joint Ventures can and are the MOST profitable method available to launch a product, membership or website. For example, how many people do you have on your email list? Even if it only 10 or 20, multiply that by 5 or 10 and you can see how the promotion would expand. You tell your list and the other JV partners promote to their lists. Each partner should have a share in the proceeds of the event to make it worth everyone's investment of time and effort.

Now, if you promoted YOUR $10 product to YOUR list and half of them bought it, you would make about $100. Now if you had ten JV partners and they each had a list of 20 people and half of their list bought YOUR product, you would make an additional $1000.00. Now, you give the JV partners a 50% commission for each sale made through their link, they would each make $50 for sending out an email and you would make an extra $500. Now, not many people would want to send a solo ad to their well groomed list for just $50, and many members at 2Getsales have lists well into the thousands, so you may need to barter a little regarding the commission split, but that is all part of doing business. Along the same lines of MSRP (Manufacturer's SUGGESTED Retail Price), we have been indoctrinated to accept the MSRP as being THE price we have to pay to acquire the item. Not SO! Especially on high ticket items, the store owner purchased the product at wholesale and is looking to make a profit, but, if you were to offer him a slightly smaller profit than normal, and you were a good customer, do you think he would tell you no? If he can make a sale and still get a decent (if slightly smaller) commission, do you think he would say NO to the sale? I don't!

Anyway, the reason I have posted this message was to let everyone here know that until Feb 1, 2008, you will still be able to join 2GetSales.com Affiliate program for free, and you will receive the same number of points each month as the paid membership. And, once you begin making some sales and earn some commissions, you will start climbing the ranks as far as membership levels go. So, you could become a Diamond member (75% commissions + 1000 points each month) for absolutely nothing.

P.S. While you are registering, make sure to check out our current products too :-)
