Yesterday's review:



Just the tonic to come bouncing back after a horrible afternoon on Friday. Both PERCE ROCK and NEVERTIKA won in pretty stylish fashion and although the latter was helped by the fall of his two closest rivals at the 2nd last, I felt he was always travelling like the winner. We also got one hell of a run from our each way 'underdog' HOO LA BALOO who was agonizingly run out of 3rd spot by Monet's Garden. Judging by the betting (25/1 into 12/1) I think it's fair to assume Mr Nicholls also believed his outsider would run a big race and he certainly did. The three horses which finished in front of him were all entitled to do so on official ratings but he finished less than 10l behind the winner and I have no regrets opting to seek out some value in the race (despite dropping four points) because it very nearly paid off.
