I still can't seem to hit the jackpot but another winning day nonetheless which is always very welcome. I cancelled the proposed bet on PROCAS DE THAIX due to his ridiculously short odds and anyone who was brave (or silly!) enough to 'play' @ 2/7 will certainly have been biting their finger nails during the race. He traded as high as 10/1 'in running' which accurately describes how well he was going approaching the 2nd last, although to be fair, he was well on top in the end. JOHN FORBES was bitterly disappointing and you could tell from the off that he wasn't enjoying himself. He jumped very poorly and perhaps found the ground too lively. Sod's law that the only horse I conceived as a danger (Sunday City) should run out an easy winner. In any event, the day was finished off in fine style thanks to a very smooth victory from SERABAD. He was sent off at shorter odds (2/1) than I had hoped for, but when they win as easy as that, it doesn't matter what price you get!
