Have just found this group, and thought I'd better introduce myself.

I am the willing slave to Tia, a marmalade cat. She is absolutely the owner/manager of our home! :-)

She was found in a nearby street, starving, with every rib showing - what could I do but take her home, even though I wasn't really looking for a cat?

She's lived here now for about 7 years, and right from the start has shown no signs of wandering off - guess she knows where the food is! Although she's not the most friendly cat, unless she's in the mood, I can't imagine her not being around now. Cats certainly add something to one's life.

Thanks Jean for joining our great cat group. Good story about your cat. I love hearing about people that save cats. It seems there are more cats rescued than dogs.

Bless you for taking that stray in.
That is why spaying and neutering is so important.
Animals aren't familar with birth control, we must help them.
Thanks for the story.

HI Cindy,

I couldn't agree more! When I found Tia, she was in the early stages of pregnancy, but I had her spayed anyway, as the vet said it was early enough to do it. He also said she had had kittens before, and although she looked to be only about 6 months old, was actually about 18 months. This was because of malnutrition and pregnancy.

This morning, she's telling me off, because her breakfast isn't quite to
her liking! :-) After sleeping on the bed last night too........
