File Manager Training

Open up Directories and Subdirectories
1. To create directories, first of all open up file manager
2. Click on the folder on the left side of the public_html word, don't click on the word itself.

To Create a new directory:
1. Navigate to the directory where you want this new folder to goto by following above directions.
2. click on the yellow folder on the left side of Create New Folder, Don't click on the word.
3. On the right side of the page, type in the new folder's name, and then click on create.
4. Newly created folder will then be listed on the left side.

To Delete Folders/Files:
1. Click on the folder/file you want to delete. (Click on the word itself, not the folder icon)

Delete Folder/File:
2. On the right side of your page, you will see Delete this folder and all files under it.
3. To permanently delete this file/folder from the server, on bottom right side it says trash, you can click on the trashcan itself to delete the files/folders from the trash, or you can click on the file/folder to restore it back to its original location if you made a mistake and never meant to delete it.

Rename Folder/File:
3. Click on Rename this folder.

Change Permissions(These are mainly used if you have a script that needs to be certain permissions to be able to execute the script)
4. Click on Change Permissions.

Move This Folder:
5. Click on Move this Folder
6. Then type in the location of where you want to move this folder to.

Copy this folder:
7. Click on copy this folder.
8. Type in the location of where you want to copy this folder to.

Upload Files:
9. Click on upload files when you are at the location where you want to upload your files.
10. Click on browse, and then browse for the files you want to upload, then click on upload.
11. Your files should now exist in the location where you uploaded them.
