What do you do to keep from giving up?

Here's my problem: I'm about to give up on my store. I haven't had a sale in months.

Now, I know there are a few reasons as to why.
1) I haven't had a lot of time to work on the store in the last few months because of doing web work for other clients, spending time on business networking sites, trying to spend time with my husband, and being a housewife.

2) I haven't done enough advertising in appropriate markets (as per reasons above).

3) I have my inventory drop shipped for me at this time and I dread going to each vendor's site to update my inventory (drop discontinued items, add new items, etc).

I want to make this store a success. I like the products and message I am selling. But I just do not have the energy much of the time to take care of the store as it needs to be done.

I was hoping to have enough profit to both be able to start buying the inventory (and thus have cheaper shipping costs and higher profits) and to hire part-time someone to help keep the inventory clean and to do link exchange work, etc. I do not expect pity. Not in the least. I created this situation. I need to find my solution.

However, I would like to know what other online store owners do to keep their passion fresh, especially when they are not making quite enough profit yet to quit your day job/main paycheck source.

Do you start to feel as if your store just isn't going to be successful and you think about closing it down? If so, what do you do to change that thinking around and keep going?

And how do you recognize the point at which the store is a bust and to just move on?

I have a business plan. I follow it to the letter every day.

Its a 5 year plan so i don't expect to see any fruits for the first 3 years. I'm upt to 18 months into my current business.

Its an old cliche, but i always say... "Fail to plan - Plan to fail"

Just do it... Everything else will fall into place!
