although that is a term I saw alot when I first started doing this and I still haven't figured it out ... or even Googled it to see if there's a basic expanation for it..

Sorry.... I just saw this question here.

Social bookmarking sites are ones like Furl, De.li.cious, Digg and many more.

It's quite a large subject and one I should write more on so others understand and begin to use them. It's a great way to get traffic.
