So you want to be a success on line. Then why is it I see these words so often when I go into peoples profiles - "I will add bio later.". If you cannot do the basics in Social Media or are just too lazy to complete, then how on earth do you expect to be a success?? There are too many people in apsense who are here to post links .The whole idea is to build your reputation and this needs a completion of your profile. I certainly turn down requests for friendship from this sort of person.

To be a success online or in social media you need to do the basics first. There is a saying "look after the pennies and the £s will look after themselves." Do that and watch your success grow.

Unfortunately I think a lot of people are overwhelmed and don't take time to realize how many tools are provided here. They not only miss the bio, but the Experiences, Resources, Rev Pages, Articles, Talents and Business Center that should be attended to as well.

Whereas I agree with you, I also understand the other side of the coin as well.

Often times I find I join every single thing that there is to join, and two things happen. I stop using a lot of the things I join and/or never start. When this happens I fail to fill out profiles. It's rare this happens to me on social networks, but it does happen.

The other thing I find is sometimes I get caught up using certain tools and I forget that I need to set things up. I requently fail at filling out downline builders, setting up banners, and the likes for this very reason.

I agree that one needs to be careful of such things and its the little things that often matter most. I agree even more so when those things revolve around your social reputation.

Very well said and thank for bringing this up, hopefully it will remind a few people to fill out their profiles.

I would however encourage you to send an email cut and paste works wonders) explaining to people why you reject their connection request. Often times its just takes a nudge to get someone moving in the right direction.

@Bruce it can be even simpler than that. If you find a profile not filled out, just click the Recommendation and it will bring up a message already filled out that you can send.
