They're movies, none of the names come to mind, that accurately portray, ninjas in this case. They're are stories, like the Tenchu games, that romanticize tales woven in exaggerated stories, such as clones and moving literally in shadows. Then they're stories that use existing material, concepts, and/or bare bone structure of an idea, person, place, thing, event, ect, Edit{ And goes off creating an entirely new concept}, such as Naruto. Naruto used ninja's as a spring bored and made it its own thing.

Naruto characters are only ninja's in name. Example, if I took steam engines, when they were still relevant, created an alternate history where society advanced through the usage of them, and a World War broke out 50 years later over some precious material necessary for creating huge amounts of steam. A war fought through the usage of steam based military arms and vehicles. Would this be our World War depicted in history? I'm using steam powered (boats in this case) and World War 1 as a spring bored, something I can not equate as a portrayal or associated with World War 1, just inspired.

While I am often a realist, I live in a fantasy world whenever I can, but I like to understand what I am fantasying fully. I can let go of realism, but when fantasy is called real or a relativity real portrayal when it is so exagerated that if you removed the name there would be no equating in the first place. There are many ways to be good Naruto and farm DFO gold in this process. I guess it irks me and motivates me to voice how I see it?

My problem with Naruto are not the exaggerated portrayal of ninjas to the point that they're more aligned to other beings (mages) than what they are modeled after. My problem with Naruto comes from pacing, characters personalities and actions, feelings of better leads in the supporting cast (would like a continuous rotation between characters never giving one character DFO gold more spot light than another entwining their stories to advance the plot). The stretched fight scene and cumbersome point by point analysis of each character, that always barged in between the fight scenes. The whole DBZ thing with the concurrent bad guy being that much stronger than the last to constantly keep the protagonist(s) in a struggle and eliminates a roof for how powerful a being in the world can get.... (Goku fights and beats a god before they finally call it quits).  If you think it is hard to level DFO Naruto, you can buy DFO gold to level fast.

The whole execution of the series was what I had discontent with. The concept is really interesting, alternative history where ninja's still exist side by side with the advancement of society shaping an entirely new type of society and people. I like the powers they have too, in moderation, I'd love to have seen it influence the technological side as well (regular people fearing them amassing armies of robots or such or huge wars between fought in non-conventional battlefields, places only these kind of characters can venture). I'd love if they had blurred the lines, good and bad guys are too cliche for me. And not some last minute hat trick twist where a character randomly comes out as a villain or hero. Supporting characters who are not ninjas. Parts between combat, when there's no villain to fight at the time, I'd like to see meaningful interactions that define choices and actions made later on in the story... ect ect...

I don't hate Naruto, it's just doesn't satisfy me and I can not put myself in a mindset to be able to enjoy it... I tried for over a hundred episodes and, in memory, it was very bleak. Mist village > first competition > second competition > third competition > chaos and Hokage 6 episodes death scene > mostly filler stuff > some bleak parts leading to the first Naruto vs Sasuke > then 50 or so episodes of filler... This was my take away from 150+ episodes of the series. If they removed the filler and stretched out fight scenes, I "could" say I enjoy it, but it's more of a chore. (And I really don't like Naruto or Sasuke).
