Article Marketing is a great way to get traffic and have people visit your website without having to pay tons of money in online advertising costs. The bottom line with Article Marketing is the fact that you can optimize your articles to show up on search engines and get in front of people looking for information about what you are offering.

Content

First and foremost you need to understand content. Without content, you cannot do anything especially with article marketing. You can do research anything you want but you can't get anything done without content. When it comes to Article Marketing, you can't just write anything. You have to make your content relevant to what you are trying to communicate. Your title has to match the body of your content. Otherwise, you will be delaying your progress for online content. 

Editing

You must edit your articles. Sometimes using your spell check is enough and other times it isn't enough. Either way, you will need to make sure that you edit your articles properly because you might run the risk of delaying your Article Marketing efforts online or you will get your articles kicked back due to lack of editing. 

Keyword Research

As you get better with your article writing, you will realize that you might want to consider ranking in certain keywords and getting your content published on ezines as well. You can perform keyword research by going to Adwords keyword tool and typing in your keyword in the space and see what the results are. The more you get used to using the Adwords keyword tool, the more you will be able to see the types of results you expect when performing your Article Marketing techniques. 

Directories 

Article directories are very important for you to find directories for you to submit your articles to. You don't have to submit your articles to any old directory. You want to submit your articles to directories that have great page ranks. Article directories such as Ezine Articles, GoArticles, and Article Alley are great directories to when trying to rank in the search engines and reaching a specific group of readers.
