Hello everyone. Nice to see everyone that is dropping by tonight. I
wanted to take a moment to share an "ah ha" moment that I had over my
weekend.
As always I had my little Grand Daughter Lilly. She is the light of my
life (except for the heavenly father), and she is what my son calls " a
little me" When she is around there is not much work that gets
accomplished. She needs this, she wants that? and it goes on and on.
Like having a child of your own but you can occasionally send this one
home. >lol<
She wants to play makeup the minute we wake up. I have eye shadow that
she is allowed to play with. So for the next 5 to 30 minutes depending
on her thought process, we (meaning she) apply makeup. I can end up with
greenpinkblueish eyes and a brown nose. Or have a green nose and
brownblueish eyes. I have even had brown cheeks for blush.
Once that is done it is lets go to my room to play with my baby's. Her
bestie doll is Emily Grace, she crys, fusses, has a binkie that will
calm her down when she crys, or her bottle if she is really fussy and
then she falls asleep. Then it is off to the chalk board so that she can
draw pictures for me. Oh and by the way Gamma, I making you breakfast
she informs me. So here comes a child size skillet with a head of
plastic cabbage that she has cooked for Gamma for breakfast.
After breakfast was served it was time to go outside with Papa so that
she could help clean Gamma's car. She rushes in to inform me that Papa
got my mirror wet. I tell her that it is okay and so she goes outside to
tell Papa he is not in trouble. As I hear her I laugh, turn around to
the computer and try to finish at least one project while Papa has her
busy outside. But too soon I hear the front door slam again and here she
comes with another crisis. It can be anything from he didn't wash all
the soap off the tire to he got soap in my flowers. In her small world
it is VERY IMPORTANT that Gamma knows it right away.
As I was writing on my FB Blog telling everyone that I did not get much
work done because I had Lilly, it dawned on me I had been very busy. No, I had not made a
fortune with my business this past weekend, but the time I got to spend
with Lilly was worth a fortune. Seeing that little girl laugh and play
and feeling so blessed because the Lord has seen to it that I have her.
My riches are far greater than I could ever explain. For Lilly, for my
little Grand Son, not yet big enough to come to gamma's house and for so
much more. I have a very rich life and am most grateful.
