Advertising your website can be done in a variety of ways. If you are just starting, and don't have money to spend then free marketing is a way to start. You can join traffic exchanges, safe lists, post classified adds online. If you would like to take it a step further, you can submit articles, press releases, participate in forums. These are all free for your disposal but the only problem with these is that it takes a little longer to get traffic to your site, so you have to continue to post new articles, press releases and so on. You can also get traffic from social networks as long as you don't look like a sales men.
But if your looking for quick traffic there are a few ways to do it. The most famous is pay per click but you have to tweak it to get the best "bang for you buck". Ezines are also places that will bring quick traffic to your site but the recommendation is to start with smaller list and work your way up. Purchasing leads is a quick way to bring traffic to your site but choose wisely, do your research, some places do not deliver. Solo Ads can be effective, they are cheap but you need to have a good ad. Another way is through Co-OP which can be very targeted but you do have to spend a bit to get your traffic. Post Card Marketing. Believe it or not but post cards are still affective and there are many companies that will send them out for you. Your response rate can be about 1% percent so if you have a program that pays pretty good you will likely make a profit.
All are good ways to get traffic to your site the best bet is to do a little of each and your likely to get excellent results!
