How long does google take to rank a page?

I will suggest you to frequently update your site relevant content. keep submit your site to classified, directories, etc. Do not over optimize your site, otherwise you will be penalized my google. Always takes some time. You can't get PR1 if the site is fresh and new. From my experience from at least three months up to year.....if we talk about standard site...this is not for let's say pinterest or some other fast growing sites...for fast PR ranking you really must have something special, not average...

I've got PR within 2 weeks for my new site. It is not high, because the site is new, but to get Your site faster ranked, You need quality outbound links to Your site. I posted few articles to article directories, shared content in social network, created FB fan page and twitter account for that page.
