Why You Should Start Learning Python?

by Darren Williams Software Developer
I am a frontend developer working in an MNC. In this article, I am writing on why you should Start Learning Python, and what are the benefits of learning python language over any other language?

When do we start investing our time in any important thing that can take several months to learn then some of us (in my opinion) may have questions like is it worth investing time in learning a new skill? how is the job market and what type of products can I build using the technology that I am going to learn?

But don't worry in this post I will guide you on the advantages that python has over any other language and because of these reasons it is getting more popular.

So, Let's get started.

What is Python?

Python is high-level programming, open-source, and development language used for general-purpose programming and it has frameworks such as Django, flask, kivy, etc. It’s a server-side language and therefore it is responsible for the inputs, databases, classes, backend working, other servers, and so on.

By the way, python is 30 years old, it was released in 1991 but everyone is still talking about Python because it is an open-source, large community, libraries, etc.

Python has positioned itself as the top programming language by programmers as their go-to decision for a wide range of venture types.

Python advancement and Python engineers are more sought after in 2020 than at any other time in recent times as the language's utilization cases keep on extending on account of quickly propelling innovations. This implies every single programmer needs to get familiar with the language on the off chance that they need to stay aware of the tech world.

Reasons to Learn Python

Python is easy to learn (my personal opinion) when compared with many other languages such as c, c++, java, c#, etc

For example - if you want to print a program where you need to reverse the alphabet that you type from right to left in c then you need to use two for loops but in python, you can run the same program by typing three lines of code.

In python, you need to write fewer lines of code when compared with Java. If you are hiring a developer then you need to spend more on Java Developers because you need to hire more developer to write a code to complete the task as soon as possible and in the case of python, a company needs to hire less developer when compared with java because you need less coding and due to open source it also saves you money from many prospects.

There are lots of hiring going on for a python developer so yes there is a good scope and future in this technology. But always keep on updating your skills.

You can also start blogging and write the things that you have learned doing python, make videos on youtube, sell your courses, etc You can do these type of work as a part-time work by managing time with your main work.

So, don't wait, Open youtube and start watching tutorials and start practicing and implementing it on daily basis.

and also note this point. According to a recent survey by a company (I don't remember the name of the company sorry), Most of the new startups are using python.

The famous question and answer website Quora is also built on Python Language.

Many big organization such as Google, Facebook, Microsoft (many Microsoft products now include python support), etc

Benefits of Learning Python

Learning a new language will add a new skill to your career.

You can use sites like StackOverflow, medium, quora, Apsense, hatena, etc to ask questions and read more things on programming.

You can also join platforms like Linkedin, Microsoft Technet, etc to increase the connections that can help you to get the job in a software company easily.

You can create big projects on an international level. It is one of the most secure computer programming languages that developers can learn. This is thanks to the OWASP Python Security Project. Python is flexible, requires fewer lines of code, time, energy, and cost.
