Why A Good Fit Does Not Hurt

by Martin Bows SEO Consultant

Good fitting shoes have never ruined any feet. If you are uncomfortable in new shoes, the reason for this is that they are not really a good fit.

The easiest way to prevent foot problems is to make sure that you are wearing shoes that fit properly. This can be a problem if your feet are wider than the size of shoe the manufacturers cater for.

The biggest mistake to make here is to buy shoes that are too large to enable them to accommodate the width of the feet. This always poses a problem as the foot will slide uncomfortably causing friction which leads to blisters and other foot problems.

Some of these problems may not be evident until later on in life such as bunions, hammer toes and nerve pain. These ailments are often painful to correct and will lay you up for some considerable length of time.

During that time you will not be able to wear any shoes at all. It makes sense, therefore, to buy the right size shoe in the first place.

A good fitting shoe should not pinch anywhere from the moment you start to wear it. If you have difficulty sourcing them, your best bet is to visit one of the many on line shops that now stock extra wide fittings.

As these outlets reach a far larger audience, it is worth their while specialising in unusual sizes and needs for the ones amongst us that have previously found it very uncomfortable to go shoe shopping.

You need not think that just because our feet are different, that it is impossible to buy something that is trendy, high heeled and colourful. Shoes of this kind are now very stylish and they will cleverly hide the fact that they are an extra fit.

A bonus is that now you will be able to fit in the right size shoe and you may be pleasantly surprise that your previously large feet now look much smaller because of it.

Another problem with buying shoes that are too big in size is that they will grow as you wear them. The pair you bought a couple of months ago will no longer be good for your feet.

There is one problem with buying shoes in the internet if you have problem feet. This is that you cannot properly measure them. Every manufacturer will have a different last and footwear can be as different as you like between them. To overcome this problem you should make a trip to the high street, even if you do not intend to buy your shoes there. Please ask one of the shops to measure your feet properly so that you have an idea at least what you need to order. You should realise that as you get older your feet will change in size too. Are they still the same size as when you had them measured last?

A little tip if you are going down the road. You should do this at the end of the day when your feet are at their largest. This will give you a more accurate measure to work with. If you are buying walking boots, please take a pair of socks too.

After you have measured your feet you can now go looking for ladies wide fitting shoes at Davidspruce.co.uk.
