by Bhavik Patel writer

Three parts of the grains are the main Bran, Grem, and endosperm. The outer covering of the grain below the husk is called Bran. This layer is rich in minerals, fibers, and antioxidants. While processing millets, we must ensure that the bran layer is unbroken, as removing the bran reduces the millet grain's nutritious value. Next comes Grem, the reproductive part of Millets that generates the new plant. Last comes endosperm, which contains carbohydrates, vitamins, proteins, and minerals. Before buying organic food online, let us quickly understand what different millets are and what makes them healthy.

Little Millet, Foxtail Millet, and Proso Millet have a glossy seed coat and shell, but Kodo and Barnyard Millet have many seed coats. Except for the main millets, the seed coat of Kodo Millet is brownish, Foxtail is yellowish, and the rest of the millets are gray-ish. Sorghum and Pearl Millet, for example, may be distinguished by their color, shape, and size, although Finger Millet is the same.
