Trending types of Mac Viruses

macOS users encountered several Mac viruses among which the most common are Shlayer Trojan.
Shlayer Trojan hit 10 percent of all of the Macs Kaspersky monitors and accounted for nearly a third of detections overall. It works like some of the oldest tricks in the books: convincing people to click on a bad link, then pushing a fake Adobe Flash update.
Another trending virus is the Silver Sparrow. Silver Sparrow uses the macOS Installer Javascript API to execute its commands. It targets Macs mainly equipped with the M1 processor.
