In a rolling settlement, each trading day(T) is considered as a trading period and trades executed during the trading day(T) are settled on a T+2 basis that is trading day plus two working days.

Demat account :
Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is a board of corporate body appointed by the Government of India in 1992.Securities and Exchange Board of India head office is situated in Mumbai.SEBI is working for business in stock exchanges and any other securities markets.Demat is short form of the Dematerialization.SEBI had it compalsory pan card detail and it's verification for all investors. Investors buy and sell stock in stock market through the Demat account without Demat account can not buy and sell stock so thst is compalsory.  

Demat is the process by which an investor can get stocks converted into electronic form maintained in an account with the Depository Participant (DP).

Depository is an organization and it's main work is to maintain investor's securities in the electronic form. In India there are two such organizations called NSDL (National Securities Depository Ltd.) and CDSL (Central Depository Services India Ltd.)
