Method 1:

Click on the Gear button and choose "Settings." This will open the Gmail settings page.
Click on the "Accounts and Import" tab. You can fix your account settings.
Click on the "Add a POP3 email account you have" link.
Type in your Yahoo email address. You can add as many as five different email accounts.
Enter your Yahoo account password. This will enable Gmail to recover your Yahoo mail.
Check the "Label incoming messages" box and click on "Add Account." This will automatically file your incoming Yahoo messages into another label. You can leave the other settings at their default.
Select whether you wish to have the ability to send messages from the Yahoo address. If you allow this, you will have the ability to choose your Yahoo address as the sending address when composing a new message.
If you opt to have the ability to send messages with the Yahoo account, you will be asked to confirm that you have it by clicking a confirmation link.
Locate your Yahoo messages. Your messages will be submitted into a tag with your Yahoo address. This will let you easily locate your new messages. Gmail will automatically retrieve your Yahoo messages at fixed intervals.
With the default settings, recovered messages will be deleted from Yahoo's servers as soon as they are moved to Gmail.

Click the Gear button at the upper-right corner.
Select "Settings" this will open a new window.
Click on the "Accounts" tab. Your Yahoo Mail account and other connected accounts will be shown.
Click on your Yahoo Mail account at the Peak of the Accounts window. This will open your Yahoo Mail account settings.
Scroll down and choose the "Forward" option. This will let you forward mails from yahoo to Gmail messages.
Choose what you would like to happen to your own messages after forwarding. Yahoo will keep your email saved on your own Yahoo account after it's forwarded to another address. You can opt to store it as is or mark it as Read.
Permit the pop-up if your browser blocks it. Many browsers will block the confirmation pop-up which appears after clicking "Verify." If the pop-up does not appear, click on the pop-up icon on the right end of the address bar and permit pop-ups out of Yahoo Mail.
Open the verification message that's delivered to the address you entered. You will have to use this message to confirm that you have the account you entered.
Follow the link in the confirmation email. This will confirm that you have the account, and add it to your Yahoo Mail account.
