by Shreya Kakkar student of Architecture

Corporate office interiors are often seen as a costly affair. It of course is! The available area is wide and that adds on to the space to be refurnished. So do you always have to spend a bomb whenever you wish to redo your office space? The truth be told, if you wish to do the décor from the scratch you definitely will have to spare a massive amount of money. However, if you wish to redo only a small area of land, then the cost can be a little less.

Here we have come up with smart tips to do the décor of your corporate office. These tips will not completely change the look and feel of your office. However, they will add the needed fresh appeal to your office.

Firstly, ensure that the furniture in every section of your office is ergonomic. Your employees spend a major chunk of their day working on that chair so don’t they wish to be offered a chair that is comfortable for them? Of course they do! So, if your furniture is not ergonomic it is time you switch it irrespective of the cost. Furniture is a costly affair but when you get the new one in exchange of the old one, you’ll save some amount of money.

Secondly, ensure that the office space looks neatly painted. A paint that is withering looks the worst. Plus, the best interior designers in India always say that the color of the walls always make or break the appearance of the space. Further the investment in coloring the walls is always feasible. Ensure that the colors used by you are pleasing to the eyes.

Thirdly, you must ensure that the ventilation is ideal. No employee would want to work in a place that makes them feel suffocated. Install windows in the office and ensure that there are blinds or curtains to prevent the heat from entering in the office.

Fourth, the light that reaches every desk must be proper. Lighting is a crucial element of an office décor and is often ignored. First decide the placement of the desks and then decide how the light should be placed so that the employee sitting on the desk doesn’t need to strain the eyes too much.

These are important and low cost design tips by the best interior design firms in Mumbai for your office space.
