Verifying Sage 50 2018.x:

·        Minimum system requirements of Sage 50 2018

·        Server 2008 higher and R2 or Windows 7 and higher

·        Not the same as Server 2008 R2 as Server 2008 SP2

·        The computer needs for 2018.x have changed and are not similar to the older versions and 2017.x.

Solution 1: The file is located on their local machine

·        Authenticate that MySQL Connector/ODBC 3.51 and MySQL Connector/ODBC 5.2(a)

·        Install Connector/ MySQL ODBC if not present

·        Both versions if necessary

·        Location is CDN Release 201X\ BIN\ MySQLODBC - C:\Sage\Sage 50 Accounting Installer Files

·        The user can locate the link CDN Release 201X\ BIN\ MySQLODBC - C:\Sage\Sage 50 Accounting Installer Files

·        Pass on to Related Resources for further support.

Solution 2: The file is located on an external d drive

·        The user can copy the company file to the local partition or C drive on the network server.

Solution 3: The location of a file on a different server/system

·        Authenticate that the company sample file opens.

·        In any case, the company data file does not open on the Resources refers to further troubleshoot

·        The user can copy the company file from the network server to a local PC.

·        Disable the firewall: on the server.

·        The user can refer the Resources Related Error: Engine Database timeout during the opening the company files on the network server.

·        The user needs to try to connect the IP address in its place of the mapped drive or processor name.

·        In any case, the other company file on the same location and same server, authenticate if the user opens click on ok.

Solution 4: Data location is under Program Files

·        Windows 8 \ 8.1  and Window 7 the company program files have preventive rights and stop users from the accessing certain folders/files

·        Go into the data newly created file folder straight under the C:\Accounting Data) and C drive

Solution 5: Data is being opened with an elderly version of simply bookkeeping

·        Ensure the open data with the newest version of Sage 50 for error-free operation

Solution 6: Ensure the server and workplace both are set up to private networking

·        Tick on the bottom left window icon to begin the menu option.

·        Write home-group, and then choose the home-group, from the search results

·        Choose the Change network location.

·        Choose the Discoverable Yes.

·        Right tick on wired network icon or Wi-Fi icon on the Computer Tray

·        Choose the Sharing Center and Open Network

Authenticate network visible as the Private network then shutdown and authenticate that the company data file will now open.

Solution 7: Model Company does not open after numerous reinstalls

·        The Default Program file x86 installation index location in a window should match the Primary letter Drive of Disk Management Disk 0

·        The user can see the extra Information section
