Pessimism Vs Optimism

by Malok Mading Writer and Blogger.
Before, I proceed to mention anything, let me give light for those who want to know the meaning of these two words.Pessimist is a person who looks at the dark side(negative) of life while an optimist looks at the bright side.

Most says that pessimism is the opposite of optimism but that is not actually the case. These two words means not opposite of the other but rather view of how one look at life in depth. Just like two persons; one writing and the other typing.

The rate of finishing the assigned work is going to be different in the sense that the one who is typing is going to finish it faster than the other counterpart. In short, the person is rate is faster and this is how optimist operates and foresees things ahead unlike the pessimists.

The reason is, our life is unpredictable which makes us either pessimists or optimists; to a pessimist, he/she tries something and once failure bumps on his/her face, he/she collapse and give up because of no believe and courage to try once more.

What makes pessimism to hinder you to achieve your dream plans is when you allow it to kill your potential to be creative and productivity. Though pessimism has good sides, which are:

  • Help reduce natural anxiety.
  • Makes you perform well because you are not occupied in any productive or useless thing.
  • Patience is what they also possess which is the key to what you want to have in life.
  • And better respond to negative feedback; that is you are ready to hear what the problem were, so that you can solve them.

An optimist on the other hand, will always be positive and having the will-power to do more even if he/she fails countless times over. Most optimists are always on the look-out for potential and better results.

Among the bad part of this personality; they are:
  • Impatience nature to do things at ago.
  • Not good at analyzing results and are prone to mistakes and failures because they are always in hurry hence little attention to little details.
  • Can be hard to convince which mean they are unlikely to receive advise from other great experienced minds.

I believe you maybe one of these two or someone in between and I want to ask you these questions; how are you seeing your what you are doing here online? What At Apsense or in your business, do you have any idea where it is taking you to? Do let me hear your say by commenting below.

This article really got me thinking. I am a Optimist! Every one who knows me always say, that I always look for the good in every one and everything. Life is to enjoy, love, be happy and play. I like to quote Walt Disney...

Excellent article that shows the essential. I will say that is good in the middle, keep the balance. I think this balance gives us serenity towards life and its ups and downs.

On the other hand, the pessimist, always expecting the worst, is rarely dissappointed. The optimist frequently has his hopes dashed..
