Methods about cutting the lace of wigs

Lace wigs are very popular at any time, and most sellers will have extra lace on the front of the lace wig when they send the customer's order, which is also convenient for each girl to cut lace according to her own situation to get a natural hairline.

Today we will share with you the methods about cutting the lace of wigs:

1. Prefer the tools to cut lace

Clips - used to clip away excess hair.

2. How to cut the lace

Step 1: Braid your Hair

Braid your hair into scalp braids, a twist out, or a low ponytail. This could make sure the wig (e.g,made from honey blonde bundles) evenly. The flatter the hair, the flatter your lace wig will worn on your head. Cover your hair using a wig cap to avoid friction from your wig base(if possible), which may lead to breakage.

Step 2: Put Wig On or Place Wig on Wig Head

The most important step is making sure your lace lays flat.

When using a wig stand, use the pins to lay your lace flat.

When placing the wig on your head, use clips to clip the wig down or use the adjustable strap in the back.

Step 3: Cut The Corners near your ears

Clip the excess hair out of your way. Doing this helps you to see better as well as ensuring you do not cut off any extra hair or lace.

Now, cut the corner nearest to your ear and around the ear on both sides if necessary.

Step 4: Cut Off Sections

Cutting your lace in sections could create the natural hairline you desire. Most times, cutting the lace off in a straight often gives the hairline the “wiggy”looks, especially for the wig sewed by cheap 613 bundles with closure.

Make your first cut straight down the middle of the lace.

Next make cuts by your temples

Now that you have your sections begin trimming your hairline one section at a time.

Step 5: Glue Lace down (Optional Step)

Use adhesive glue like Got2b, tape, or gel to lay your lace down onto your head. Wrap your head with a silk scarf/wrap for about 10-15 minutes to makes sure your edges and adhesive are laid down neatly.

Do not show your natural hair out: To avoid your hair exposing accidentally, we suggest you pull all of your back and secure it prior to placing your lace wig on your head.
