There has been much ado about iPhone models and how they are quite difficult to fix when broken. However, a recent discovery shows that the iPhone SE, one of Apple's newer offerings, is actually more manageable than what other people made it out to be. Technicians confirmed this observation.

Below is a rundown of their findings:
  • Core components can be easily replaced with spare parts that are also present in other iPhone units.
  • Several components (i.e. camera, SIM tray, Tactic Engine, display) can be swapped with iPhone 8 versions.
  • Despite minor differences in the connector, iPhone SE's battery has the same capacity as an iPhone 8 battery version 6.96Wh.
  • Camera components are similar and therefore interchangeable with iPhone 8; both use the A13 Bionic Chip which determine camera's image processing capabilities.
  • The other side of the logic board is embedded with a Toshiba USB storage and other components that can be found in iPhone 8 and similar models.
  • Though not capable of 3D, the display screen of iPhone SE is fully interchangeable with the iPhone 8.
  • iPhone SE is easy to repair because it also makes use of spare parts from previous models, which is environment-friendly and prevents waste.

So the next time you're looking to get a new phone from Apple, always take ease of iPhone repair into consideration. Newer models like the iPhone SE or iPhone 8 could be a good fit for you. Technicians highly recommend them.
