Form 1099 is a tax form that businesses use to report certain types of payments made to non-employees, such as independent contractors, during the tax year. Form 1096 is a summary form that businesses use to report all of their 1099 forms to the IRS.

QuickBooks can be used to generate Form 1099 for your business. When you generate Form 1099 in QuickBooks, the software will automatically fill in the required information, such as the name and address of the recipient and the total amount paid, based on your payment transactions entered into QuickBooks. You can then print out the forms and send them to the recipients and the IRS.
