How to Transfer Your Calls, Messages, and Emails From Apple Watch to iPhone?

by Romy Martine Software and Tech

Apple Watch is the device known for quick responses for taking calls, small chats, and email conversations. Still, sometimes users need a device for longer conversations, email messages, attachments, etc. If that’s the case, then you can use your iPhone. It provides you a comfortable and easily accessible platform for long messages, attending calls, and large email attachments.

You can easily transfer all your calls, emails, and messages right from your Apple Watch to your iOS device.

Here is how to transfer all the messages, emails, and calls from your Apple Watch to your iPhone:

Transferring a Call from Apple Watch to iPhone

If the Call is Not Picked on Apple Watch

If the call is ringing and you haven’t picked up, then these steps are for your help to transfer on iPhone:

  • First of all, scroll down the page using the Digital Crown.
  • Then, wait a while once you see the option “Answer on iPhone.”
  • Hit the option “Answer on iPhone.”
  • Now, your call has been forwarded successfully to your smart handheld device, and until then, the recipient is on call hold.
  • Then, you need to take your iPhone in your hand and tap the answer button.

Note: Take the call as soon as possible because the recipient is on hold and waiting for your response.

  • This can also be applied if you have forgotten your phone somewhere in a hidden place in your home.

If the Call is Picked-Up on Apple Watch

In case you have picked up the call, then you can even answer using your iPhone. Here are the steps:

  • Hit the Phone icon located at the upper-left edge of your screen if the phone is locked.
  • In case the phone is unlocked, then hit the Time option located at the upper portion of your iOS screen.

Transferring Messages Right from Your Apple Watch to iPhone

Follow these straightforward steps if you want to transfer a message to your iPhone from Apple’s wearable device:

  • First of all, launch the Messages app on your Apple Watch.
  • Then, hit the Message thread in question and select the recipient you like to reply to.
  • Now, open the message thread on your smartphone.
  • After that, choose the app switcher tab from the iPhone. If you are using iPhone X or above or an iPad, then swipe up the screen from the lower edge of your device’s display. If the smartphone is of the older edition of OS, you need to double click on the Home tab.
  • Next, hit the Handoff tab. It will appear as a banner just below the apps section.

Transferring Email from Apple Wearable Device to iPhone

If you want to transfer your email right from your Watch to your smartphone, then follow these easy to use steps:

  • Firstly, launch the mail app on your Apple Watch.
  • Then, hit the thread in question to whom you wish to respond via email. Then, you need to take your iPhone and launch the email thread there.
  • Choose the app switcher option on your iOS device. On iPhone X or above or an iPad, swipe up the screen from the lower edge. If you have an old iPhone, then perform a double click on the Home tab.
  • Hit the Handoff tab there. It appears as a banner located just below the apps.

Apple Watch is one of the best devices to answer anything quickly, like messages, emails, or calls, but sometimes users need a slightly large screen to answer long conversations, emails, and calls. They can quickly transfer picked or unpicked calls, messages, or emails right from their wearable device to iPhone or iPad using Digital Crown, app switcher, selecting message or email thread, and Handoff.
