How to speed up your Android Smartphone?

Slow phones are extremely irritating and they cause a lot of frustration. Now, your phone may be slow because of lack of memory, too many apps running at the same time, battery issues, etc. In this blog, we will discuss the ways to speed up Android phones.

Here is how to speed up your Android Smartphone without losing any critical data.

Things you need to do:

• Remove old or unnecessary apps.

• Delete old files.

• Clear Cache.

• Transfer data (pictures) to your computer.

How to remove old or unnecessary apps

Find the old and unnecessary installed apps on your device and uninstall them. Because an old app or the app you don’t use occupied space and running into the background that will affect the device performance. You can use the given steps to uninstall an app.

1. Open the ‘Settings’ app on your Smartphone.

2. Go to ‘Apps/Application manager/Apps & Notification’ section.

3. From the top, tap on ‘ALL’ tab.

4. Scroll down and find the app you do not use.

5. Tap the app.

6. And tap the ‘Uninstall’ button uninstall it.

7. Tap ‘Uninstall updates,’ if there is an update installed.

8. Repeat the steps to uninstall more apps.

If you didn’t find the Uninstall button, it means the app is preinstalled. You can’t remove a preinstalled app. However, you can disable it, tap the ‘Disable’ button to disable the app. This will speed up your Smartphone’s performance plus make some space.

How to clear old files

1. Tap the ‘App menu’ icon.

2. Open ‘Downloads or Files.’

3. Long tap the file you want to erase.

4. And tap on the files to select more to delete.

5. After selecting, tap the ‘Delete’ icon.

6. Confirm with ‘OK’ on the prompt.

You’re done! The files will be deleted.

How to Clear Cache

1. Open the ‘Settings’ app.

2. Go to ‘Storage.’

3. Tap on ‘Cached data.’

4. Confirm with ‘OK’ on the prompt.

Doing this will erase all the cache data of your device. This will also remove your sign in information, next time you need to sign in into the apps again.

How to transfer pictures to Windows computer

1. Connect your Smartphone with your computer.

2. On your Smartphone, open the ‘USB options’ notification from the notification bar.

3. Select ‘File transfer.’

4. Press ‘Windows + E’ key together to open ‘This PC or My Computer.’

5. Here, right-click your Smartphone device.

6. Select ‘Import pictures & videos.

7. Click ‘More options’ on the prompted window.

8. Mark the box of ‘Delete files after importing’ to delete pictures from your Smartphone.

9. Click the ‘OK’ button.

10. Mark the radio button of ‘Import all new items.’

11. Type a name for the files folder.

12. Click the ‘Import’ button.

That’s it! The pictures will start importing to your Computer and then will get deleted automatically from your Smartphone. Disconnect after finish transferring.

How to transfer pictures to Mac computer

1. Connect your Smartphone with your computer.

2. On your Smartphone, open the ‘USB options’ notification from the notification bar.

3. Select ‘Photo transfer.’

4. Switch to the ‘Go’ tab from the top menu bar.

5. Select ‘Applications’.

6. Double-click on the ‘Image Capture.’

7. Select your device from the left device menu.

8. Click the ‘upward facing arrow’ button at the left-bottom corner.

9. Mark the box of ‘Delete after import’ to delete pictures from your Smartphone.

10. Then click ‘Import All’ button.

That’s it! The pictures will start importing to your computer and then get deleted automatically from your Smartphone. Disconnect after finish transferring.

Tips:

If you use an old app and don’t want to remove it, then update it.

If nothing works, reset your Smartphone.
