How to backup data on your Apple devices

  • Open Settings on your iPhone/iPad.
  • Tap Apple ID
  • Tap iCloud
  • Tap iCloud Backup
  • Tap Back Up Now

 Enabling iTunes backup: If you don't want to store backups in iCloud, you can store them locally with iTunes.
  • Connect your device to a computer.
  • Open iTunes
  • Click Device icon
  • Select Summary
  • Select "This computer" under Automatically Back up.
  • Tick Encrypt backup
  • Click Done

Backing up iPhone manually via iTunes: You can also manually back up your iPhone if you want to make a new backup while it is connected.
  • Connect your device to a computer.
  • Open iTunes
  • Click Device icon
  • Select Summary
  • Click Back up now 
  • Click Done
