Error Message E13 and E16

The reason of getting these error codes on Canon inkjet printer will occur due to empty ink cartridges. If user’s ink cartridge has no ink the, the user will encounter either E13 or E16 error message. The user can see this message on their printer screen, once the message appears on the screen, the printer will stop printing and scanning. However, this issue will not damage your printer at all, you just need to replace the empty ink cartridges will the filled one.

Error Message U162 and U163

In the same way, the printer will prompt above errors when user will replace the empty cartridge with the new ink cartridge. This error also will not allow users to print and scan their documents.  However, we can easily handle this error by following some steps:

For this user needs to find, press and hold down the STOP/RESET? RESUME button for 10 second

Canon error code 1686 and 1688

These error codes also warn users that their printer’s cartridge is empty and prompt error “the ink may have run out” or “The ink has run out”.

We always receive the same query of encountering error message “The Ink has run out” for the Canon Printer even after refilling the cartridge.

So the reason behind the occurrence of this problem is, even if users have installed or replaced the empty cartridge, printers have no way of checking inside the fresh cartridge instead of this printer only look for the pages that have been printed and average page coverage since it was first installed into the Canon printer. Only from this information, the printer will decide that the ink level is running low or it is empty.

The user can update the information about the replaced cartridge by pressing and holding STOP/RESUME/ RESET button.

You can encounter error codes   E04, E05, E14 or E15 if your Canon Pixma inkjet printer is not recognizing the cartridges due to this user will get warning “The FINE Cartridge cannot be recognized”. Error code E04 will occur if the FINE cartridge is not installed correctly.
