Full spectrum CBD oil: full power of nature

by Sara B. Writer | Blogger | Content Creator

With a wide range of healing benefits, cannabidiol, or CBD, has grown in trends in recent years. However, there are different types of CBD products, so it is important to understand these differences. The two main types of CBD are CBD isolate and full-spectrum CBD oil. Because Full spectrum cbd oil Canada contains more cannabinoids found in cannabis, it offers a greater range of benefits than just isolated CBD oil.

Another important difference to consider is the difference between hemp oil, which is often marketed as CBD oil. While CBD from marijuana and CBD from hemp come from the same plant family, there are differences between the two. There are much higher levels of THC in marijuana, for example, while hemp has lower levels. However, what complicates things in the world of cannabidiol is that CBD hemp oil is often considered "more legal" simply because of its name.

Why do people consume cannabidiol?

More and more people are turning to CBD oil due to the wide range of benefits it has. For people living with chronic pain, for example, CBD oil can help manage symptoms. Because CBD oil contains no (or only trace amounts of) THC, it has become a popular alternative to "medical marijuana" or even illegal marijuana use. Non-addictive, non-psychoactive CBD oil allows users to experience the many benefits without the negative effects associated with regular cannabis use.

Full spectrum CBD oil vs CBD isolate

When it comes to maximizing the benefits of CBD, using full-spectrum CBD oil from the whole plant and all associated cannabinoids gives you advantages over isolated and pure CBD. Before 2015, isolating CBD was thought to be a better option due to its concentrated nature. However, a study conducted that same year by the Lautenberg Center for General Tumor Immunology in Jerusalem found that higher levels of relief could be achieved with full-spectrum CBD oil.

Isolated CBD, compared to full spectrum CBD oil, is the pure form of CBD only and does not contain other types of cannabinoids. There is no risk of THC intake as the CBD isolate is molecularly separated from the rest of the cannabis compounds.

Power

While CBD isolate is considered pure and more potent (or concentrated) than other CBD products, this doesn't really make it superior. The high potency of the isolate cannot compete with the combined effects of the various cannabinoids contained in the products derived from full spectrum CBD oil. This potency of combined cannabinoids is known as the "entourage effect."

Legality

The legality of CBD is a complicated subject. Although CBD oil is technically legal in all 50 states, there are some exceptions. This is where the difference between hemp and marijuana becomes important. Because hemp contains no more than 0.3 percent THC, it is not considered possible to become intoxicated by consuming it. Therefore, CBD products that are derived from industrial hemp are always legal, without exception. There may be concern that even full-spectrum hemp CBD products are not as potent, but legally speaking, they are the clearest option.

However, for marijuana-derived CBD products, the legality is more complicated. Different states have different views on its legality. This is because it is taken from a plant that has high levels of THC, even though these levels are kept to a minimum in full-spectrum CBD oil. There is, therefore, a lot of confusion about the legality of the full spectrum and the isolation of CBD derived from hemp. It is advisable to check the specific CBD laws in your area to be on the safe side.
