Best Social Media Lessons To Learn

by Tarun Parmar My imagination is your success.
  1. Lesson One: Have a Plan

On your personal social media account, you can get away with posting whatever you want. However, on your marketing page, you need to have some sort of plan. This plan can change with trial, error, and evolution, but having a plan is still important. You need to create goals. Try smaller goals first, such as getting  a certain amount of followers, and create a deadline. If you do pass the deadline, celebrate. If not, figure out what went wrong.

    1. Lesson Two: Know Your Audience

Who are you marketing towards? Millennials? Boomers? Gen Z? Knowing who your audience is and what they are interested in is crucial. In the age where memes change and wants differ, this can be a challenge. Surveys, conversations, feedback, and demographic studies can help you with this. Is your audience into stimulating conversations? Funny memes that don’t sound too corny? Figure it out and then see what you can do.

    1. Lesson Three: Contests Are Good

The best way to get followers is through a contest. People love to be competitive and win. Even if it’s something small like an Amazon gift card. A contest can be as simple as sharing a picture, or more creative like an art contest.

    1. Lesson Four: It’s All About the Content

When you find content someone likes, make sure you’re making content that everyone will enjoy. For example, creating beautiful pictures for Instagram or a post that will get people sharing are just a couple of examples. With content creation, it needs to be carefully crafted. You don’t want to make the content stale, yet you need to give the audience what they expect.

    1. Lesson Five: Interact With Your Audience

Finally, your audience needs to feel like they’re a part of something, and they want the people who make their products to be as down to earth as they are. Replying to comments, answering questions, and being friendly are just a few ways you can do this. Audience engagement can keep people coming back. Trust us on that end.

There are so many other ways you can improve your social media, but that’s all the time we have for now. Social media can be a hassle, and that’s why it’s okay to have someone else run it.
