by Govind Jeevan B.Tech Student, Online Marketer

Today, mobile phones are a sure way to convenient communication and have become an order of the day all around the globe. As much as they make our lives much better, it is important to know their downsides too. When used incorrectly, phones can wreak havoc and be downright dangerous. Therefore, it is essential to practice proper mobile phone etiquette.

Below are the main etiquette that you should implement while using your mobile phone.

While Driving

When you are driving, never write or read a text message. It is forbidden by law in many countries. No matter how confident you might feel, taking chances can be very dangerous. When it comes to calls, use an earpiece, for the most important callers only. Road safety cannot be compromised. By being cautious on the road, you are also protecting others as well.

Never Yell

Use normal tone or increase the volume on your cell phone for better communication. Do not yell or talk too loud over the phone. Phones are well designed so that the other person can hear you without amplifying the normal tone of your voice. It is bad to have the world listen to your private conversations

.

Pay Attention

You should never cross the road when talking on the phone. If you do so, you will be distracted and you cannot make the right choices on the road while walking or communicate effectively. Pay attention to the people and the roads accordingly. When being with your friends or relatives, never allow a cell phone conversation to distract you. This will go a long way in boosting your relationships.

Writing Texts

Avoid forwarding unnecessary texts to people and seek to writing clear messages to communicate your points. Sarcasm or bad jokes do not read well and are well worth avoiding. Also, do not use a text message to insult anyone. Make everything simple and clear to get the most out of your communication.

Call Times

Avoid calling anyone during their working hours or too late at night unless it is an emergency. Limit your calls and texts to the hours that you think they are normally relaxed and awake.

These basic mobile phone etiquette will earn you a pleasing personality and lots of respect from your peers. Doing the right thing is the key to live a happier and productive life.
