3.      There is no connection of your ticket price to the compensation amount:

The price of your ticket is not at all related to the amount of compensation you receive. The compensation amount starts from the 250 Euros and ends to a limit of 600 Euros. 

 

 

4.      The rules only apply on the legal jurisdiction of European Union:

Compensation laws are totally different in the European Union as compared to that of the outside of European Union. You are entitled to claim for the late flight compensation only under the following conditions:

a)      If you are departing from an EU airport.

b)      If you are arriving at an EU airport only via EU-based airline.

Also, remember that if you are departing from EU airport but you are travelling via a non-EU based airline, then you cannot claim for the compensation amount under European Union law.
